Master the Art of Design with White Space: A free course for Graphic Designers, Small Business Owners, and Marketing Professionals

White space is one of the most important elements of design, yet it is often overlooked. Whether you are a graphic design student, a small business owner, or a marketing professional, understanding the importance of white space in design can help you create visually appealing and effective designs that engage your audience and achieve your goals.

We are excited to announce our new free course on White Space in Graphic Design, where we will explore the principles and techniques of using white space in design.

This written course is just the beginning, as we are working on producing a video course with a digital handbook to accompany it. As a PixelHaze VIP member, you will be able to access all of this content, along with our flagship courses like the Website Blueprint, Squarespace Box of Tricks, and Canva Box of Tricks, as well as a plethora of resources from the PixelHaze Academy Campus.

The course will cover the importance of white space in design and how it affects the readability and visual appeal of your designs. We will explore techniques to effectively use white space in graphic design and provide real-life examples of designs that effectively use white space to create a visually appealing and user-friendly design.

By taking our free White Space in Graphic Design course, you’ll learn how to create a balance between content and space, and how to effectively use white space in your designs. We also provide real-life examples of websites and logos that have effectively utilized white space, as well as critique sessions to help you refine your own designs.
— Elwyn Davies, PixelHaze Academy

One of the main focuses of the course is to understand the difference between intentional and unintentional white space, and how to use intentional white space to create visual interest and guide the viewer's eye. We will also cover the importance of white space in responsive design, as websites and applications now need to be created for an almost infinite range of screens.

The course will provide an opportunity for students to apply the principles and techniques learned throughout the course to real-life examples and student work. We will analyze and critique designs that effectively use white space and discuss student work while providing feedback on how to improve the use of white space.

Space, Man!

At PixelHaze, we understand the importance of teaching white space in graphic design. We want to help students and new designers to understand how to effectively use white space in their designs. That's why we have created our own memorable hook when teaching white space called Space, Man!

Space, Man! is our unique approach to teaching white space, which emphasizes the importance of giving designs room to breathe. By allowing space around the content, the design becomes easier to read, and the user experience is greatly improved. We use this approach to help students and new designers to understand how to balance content and space to create visually appealing designs.

A unique design challenge

As part of this free graphic design course, we will provide a design challenge for a fictional sports brand company that includes logo design, billboard advertisement, and website homepage design. This challenge will allow students to put their skills into practice and apply the principles of white space in design.

Wrapping up

By the end of the course, you will have a deeper understanding of white space and how it can be used effectively to create outstanding designs that engage your audience and achieve your goals. We hope that this course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to take your design game to the next level.

We are excited to offer this free course on White Space in Graphic Design, and we hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity to learn and grow as a designer. Stay tuned for more updates on the upcoming video course and digital handbook, and don't forget to check out the PixelHaze Academy Campus for even more resources to help you succeed in the world of design.
