Greening and Co is a fictional brand we have created in order to display the structure of a professional services business, in this case, an accountancy firm. It has a very clean banding effect using strong contrasts and an array of stock images to appeal to small business owners.
Professional services businesses often don’t have the budget and time for professional photography dedicated to their business so often with these types of websites, they may use a combination of stock images and specific effects using themes or campaigns as the approach.
That is what we have aimed to achieve with this particular template in that we've used stock images of small business owners for hero units and banner campaigns and then used specific storytelling stock images to show how the process of the professional services process would work (in this case, accountancy). Our very own PixelHaze three-step process plugin is included within this template.
We then mix up stock images with real-life images in the ‘Latest News’ section where an accountancy business could have articles from their blog section feeding through to the home page. Finally, we have a section for testimonials or reviews and a footer containing location and contact information.
The balance we’ve tried to strike with this template is a combination of answering classic ‘who, what, where’ questions alongside other key questions that a potential customer of an accountancy firm, like Greening and Co, may pose. Examples may include:
Who is this business?
What do they provide?
Where can you access their services?
Who and where is the target demographic?
Often with professional services websites, you can run the risk of becoming too text content heavy. Therefore we've used images, especially those in thumbnail format to break up the flow to allow a nice balanced combination of text and images. This type of template is a very safe option for those looking to build websites for corporate and professional services businesses.
