New chapters available in the Canva Box of Tricks series

Two new chapters are now available for the Canva Box of Tricks series and one more is on the way soon!

As mentioned a few months ago, we have been working very hard behind the scenes to renovate our existing Canva masterclass series. We're delighted to announce that there are now three new chapters in place. Two of these online tutorial chapters are now complete and the third one is due for completion within the next few weeks.

What’s in each new chapter of the Canva Box of Tricks online series?

We've taken the course right back to the foundations, starting with our first chapter, designed to allow you to get used to the Canva interface and get up to speed with the basics. In this chapter, we're going to talk you through the process of creating a social media graphic, how you can keep it on brand, and also make sure that you adhere to our PixelHaze principles of design. This is great for beginners to Canva such as small business startups looking to learn design skills to accelerate their growth, but also a great refresher for those more experienced designers looking to build on top of a solid foundation of Canva basics.

We then move on to a module focusing fully on fonts and typography, showing how you can lay out text in Canva by adjusting, tracking, leading, and kerning. You'll find in Canva that they come under different names from letter spacing to line-height. The great news is you can get a high level of control to match what you would normally expect from more advanced and sophisticated software like Adobe Illustrator. We'll then progress through the module and show you how to create a text art poster using these typography fundamentals.

Our third module will then explore how we can create intricate compositions, using masks and frames. We will even be creating a series of geometric art posters, which will really stretch Canva to its limit.

What’s still to come in the Canva Box of Tricks series?

These three chapters are not going to be the entirety of our Canva Box of Tricks tutorial series. In fact, it will be far from it! We have a number of chapters that will be rolled out online over the coming months, and the course will look very different from Spring 2022.

At present we have limited resources so we can only create roughly an hour of training content per week, but we have made it our mission to ensure that this is consistent.
